During the escape, the mind of Harry and Voldemort will discover that they must destroy his Horcruxes. Then he begins to hold his snake, Nagini with him all the time. While watching, Harry sees that the next Horcrux is something that belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw, and is at Hogwarts.

Nineteen years later, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley and Hermione and Ron, to see their children from the Hogwarts Express train. But the middle son Harry, Albus Severus said reluctant to fall into Slytherin. Harry told his son of his namesake and ensures that the Sorting Hat will let you choose your own home. Albus may be on the train, and the two couples to see their children out of their adventures at Hogwarts.

The story takes place in Rio de Janeiro; wildlife trade is common there, and several types of exotic birds get smuggled to different countries. One such bird is Blu, a Spix's Macaw who is unable to fly and his owner is Linda. The film begins with Blu being smuggled from Rio to the city of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Shortly thereafter, Linda finds him as soon as he arrives in Moose Lake in the snow. Fifteen years later, Blu and Linda have become friends and live together in her bookstore. Blu is still unable to fly, but has adopted Linda's lifestyle. However, Blu is ridiculed by local animals.

One day, a Brazilian ornithologist named Túlio Monterio informs Linda that Blu is the last male of his species. Túlio also says that he has discovered a female Spix's Macaw in Rio named Jewel, and offers her to take Blu to mate with her to preserve the species. Túlio, Linda, and Blu are flown to Rio, where Blu meets a Red-crested Cardinal named Pedro and his Yellow Canary friend Nico. Blu is taken to Túlio's aviary, and falls in love with Jewel, who desperately longs to escape into the wilderness. Blu and Jewel are captured by a young boy named Fernando and a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo named Nigel, who works for a group of smugglers led by Marcel. Nigel tells the two that he was once a popular performer on a television program, but he was soon replaced by a parakeet. Embittered by this experience, Nigel specializes in capturing exotic birds such as Jewel. Blu and Jewel flee from Nigel and the smugglers, ending up in a jungle.

In the back of a small car, in a small aquarium, resides a small, unnamed chameleon (Johnny Depp). The only living creature in his 'environment,' Rango has fancied himself as an actor, with several inanimate object as his friends and fellow thespians. In his self-contained world, Rango's 'friends' tell him that even though he fancies himself a hero, he needs a challenge.

The world goes awry when something in the road causes the car to jolt, and the chameleon and his aquarium fly out the back of the vehicle he's in, shattering to the ground. Getting up, the chameleon sees an armadillo in the road, it's mid-section squashed in by a tire. The creature asks for help to get to the other side, and the chameleon assists. Not being used to the heat, the chameleon asks the armadillo where he can find water. The creature tells him he can find it in dirt, a day's journey away.
